I grew up moving from place to place. It was something I enjoyed. However, moving always deters one from doing or experiencing life. While driving with my mother and father, I would imagine and imagine characters and situations that were sparked by certain situations to keep me entertained while I moved around the state.Writing also gave me stability. No matter how many times I moved around, my book of ideas would always stay and never change unless I wanted it to.

I began to write to at the age of fifteen. My English teacher sat down with me and began to explain how to write an essay and it started from there. I started to read more and more of what I was interested in. Then, I began to write and write. I finished my first book or chapters and decided to continue to write to have more practice on the techniques I had found and learned to love.

My latest book deals with a young woman who finds herself in the midst of a deadly secret. She is catapulted through an array of difficult times along with meeting a man that terrifies her and excites her at the same time. This particular book was inspired by a car wreck. I was sitting in my car waiting for information on the driver I had collided with and realized that somewhere in the world there was someone that had to go through difficult situation alone. It sparked my imagination to create my heroine and it began from there.

I was motivated by another Smashwords user. In reading her book, I realized that I did not need a major publishing house to have my work published or read. It was an eye-opener when I found out about indie authors. I could not wait to start. So, I found Smashwords and joined the community. What so ironic? 78% of the books on my e-book shelf or my literal bookshelf are from indie authors.

Like I stated before, Smashwords has allowed me to let readers see my work without putting such a high price. Also, I choose what and how my book will look and what goes in them. Smashwords has allowed my readers to know a little bit about me as well.

Writing allows me to escape and create a world that is much different than the one I live in. I believe that people need an escape and thrilling adventure once in a while. Reading a book or writing one allows me to have both those things. Since I do not get to travel much now, I travel with my books and characters and learn so much about the world while investigating and creating them.

Fans mean so much. I try very hard to allow readers to have an outstanding time with my books and characters. When writing, I write because I love to. However, my fans are not that far from my mind. If I create a dull and meaningless book with no excitement, then whats the point of writing? I might as well not write, right? I love my fans and hope to get more as I release more and more books.

Reading, working, listening and creating music, spending time with my family. I'm attempting to learn how to play an instrument as well, so that's another one. It's not going so great though. I have no skill for the piano but I'll get there. ;-)

Romance (contemporary, historical, fantasy, etc.) Thrillers, Tragedies and even Paranormal. I really don't venture out from these main four. However, I am open to trying new things. You can never read enough! That's my theory.

Well...I don't want to say just yet. I'll leave that to the reader to find out later.

Writing, music, my family, my dog (because I need to feed him), God. ALL these help me get up and face anything. By the way, those listed are just the most important that makes me get out of bed.

My first story was called "Jack: Camping by the Fire". I was in sixth grade and it was a Language Arts class. I remember receiving an eighty-five because of my penmanship but getting a hundred for originality. The story was about a group of friends camping and getting attacked by a mysterious looking blob that made you disappear into the night. Tacky, right? Yes, I was eleven and probably thought it was amazing.

My cover design sometimes take longer than actually writing the book. I know. I know. I'm strange and indecisive. I like my covers to relate but not give away what the book is about. I'm not saying it won't look like a romance cover, but I like to add different factors to the only visual the readers have for each book. I try to visualize a momentous scene and bring it to life. This takes time to find. However, sometimes inspiration occurs during the time I am writing. I picture the cover and immediately get to work on creating it. On other occasions, I create a cover and then begin to write. It really all depends on when and what inspires me when it comes to my covers.
